From a Passion Project
to a Trusted Brand
IceFishPro was founded in 2014 by lifelong ice angler James Carlson and his partner Tom Weaver. Both passionate about ice fishing and frustrated by the lack of quality rental options in Tashkent — they decided to build the solution themselves.
Starting with a modest 12-item inventory stored in a garage, IceFishPro grew by word of mouth. By 2018, they had outgrown their storage, expanded to a full-scale storefront on Frozen Lake Road, and employed a team of 8 fellow ice fishing enthusiasts.
Today in 2026, IceFishPro serves over 4,800 anglers annually, maintains 340+ items of premium gear, and has earned a reputation as the most reliable ice fishing rental service in the Great Lakes region.
